Citizen’s Investigator received a confidential phone call that Terre Haute, IN Police Detective Lt. Bill Bergherm was suspended from the Terre Haute Police Department subsequent to an investigation involving destruction of evidence.
WTHI News also reported Lt Bergherm was suspended for destroying evidence. “An internal investigation showed the destruction was not intentional, but did violate department policy” (WTHI).
An independent confidential source stated Lt Bergherm has been known to violate department’s policies in the course of criminal investigations.
Officer Fredrick of the Terre Haute Police Department stated he was unaware of the suspension and suggested Citizen’s Investigation to speak to the Chief of Police.
